President election: A BJP chief from Telangana has filed a grievance in opposition to Bollywood movie director Ram Gopal Varma over his controversial remarks in opposition to presidential candidate Doupadi Murmu, reported information company ANI.

In his tweet, Ram Gopal Varma mentioned: “If DRAUPADI is the PRESIDENT who’re the PANDAVAS? And extra importantly, who’re the KAURAVAS?”

Reacting to this tweet, BJP chief Gudur Narayana Reddy, filed a grievance on the Abid Street Police Station, accusing him of disrespecting the SC and ST group.

“This tweet is tantamount to disrespecting the SC and ST individuals. Right here, he calls ‘Draupadi’ the President. If he would have solely talked about Draupadi, Pandavas and Kauravas, we might have had no objections. We, the BJP employees, are damage at such feedback from RGV,” Reddy advised ANI.

In keeping with the information company, the BJP chief requested the cops to register a case beneath the SC/ST Atrocities Act and demanded extreme punishment for the director.

BJP-led NDA on Tuesday introduced former Governor of Jharkhand Draupadi Murmu’s title as a Presidential candidate for the upcoming elections.
