Delhi runs out of Covishield inventory

Delhi has run out of Covishield inventory and a few Covid vaccination centres are more likely to be closed on Tuesday, officers stated on Monday. The nationwide capital had 19,000 doses of Covishield and a pair of,39,000 doses of Covaxin on Monday morning, in line with a bulletin.

Elevating the difficulty of scarcity of Covid vaccines within the metropolis, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted, “Vaccines have run out in Delhi once more. The central authorities offers vaccines for a day or two, then now we have to maintain the vaccine centres closed for a number of days.”

“Why is our nation’s vaccine programme faltering even after so many days?” he added.

A complete of 36,238 vaccine doses have been administered on Monday, taking the whole variety of jabs given to date to 89,37,904, the bulletin acknowledged.

Authorities vaccination centres within the metropolis have been shut on Sunday.
